My Make-up and Skincare Storage.

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to show you how I like to store my beauty products. I decided to make the 2 top drawers of my dresser a place to store my make-up. On top of the dresser I keep my skincare and hair products and makeup brushes.

I find it so much easier to find everything now and everything is much tidier. I'm now actually organised, I'm like a new person, haha.

I'm not doing this post to brag about my makeup and skincare collection, just showing you the way I like to store mine. It might give you some inspiration.

I collected the boxes that you get from Chinese takeaways, obviously cleaned them out and used them to section off my make-up. I knew they would come in handy someday, haha.

Camping Trip Fun.

Hey Everyone.
I recently went on my first official camping trip, with my school. I stupidly forgot to bring my camera so I borrowed a few photos from people to share with you all for this post. Most of these photos are from my friend Maura who took these on a disposable camera. They all turned out amazing!
Some of my closest friends and I. CUTE!
To be honest I was absolutely dreading it because the thought of having to stay in tents and not be able to have access to proper facilities was not appealing.

It was a 3 day trip to Kenmare. Bit random but it is a tradition in my school for fourth year classes. We were told we weren't allowed electronics besides cameras and no makeup. I actually really enjoyed the fact that we didn't have electronics because we really got to focus on the trip and our friends, I didn't miss mine one bit.

On the trip we did a 19km hike, archery, paint-balling, mountain biking, kayaking and went on a water trampoline and banana boat. It was a crazy but fun 3 days. My favourite part was the water trampoline and my least favourite was the paint-balling. It was not my idea of "fun." It hurt.
Please excuse the fact that I look terrible here! Bare in mind that we weren't allowed wear makeup.
The camp-fire was really nice because it was the only time during the day that we could relax. We all sung songs and people told scary and funny stories while we all toasted marshmallows. I ate so many s'mores between the 2 nights camping #noregrets, haha.
All tucked up, ready for the camp-fire.

The place we went "The Star Outdoors, Kenmare" was great and the people there were so nice. The views were incredible and the weather was good too so it was a very successful trip overall. I LOVED IT! I still don't think I'm a camping person but if I had to do it again I wouldn't mind.

Hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading! I'll be back with another post Monday.

Summer "Beauty" Essentials.

Hey Guys! So it is officially Summer although the weather doesn't seem to show it. I live in Ireland so what do I expect, it will get sunny sometime. I HOPE! Here are a group of my beauty essentials for the sunny weather during the Summer months. Enjoy x

Skincare,

1.  Starting with sun-cream as this is an essential for Summer. I know this is supposed to be worn all year around but I know a lot of us forget. However, in Summer we especially can't forget this as we don't want to look like tomatoes or damage our skin,

 2.  Next essential is Aloe Vera GelIt's so amazing to put on sunburned skin as it is cold and soothing. Aloe Vera is so good for your skin anyway so I like to put this on all year round.

3.  Moisturiser is so important all the time but especially during the Summer Months. The Vaseline "Spray & Go" Moisturiser will be the moisturiser I'll be using this Summer because it's so cool and refreshing. It's quick drying too so I'll have no excuse to not moisturise as it's so important,

Check out the link below for a review I did on this product, if you haven't read it before.

4.  I hate talking about feet so I'll get this part over quick, haha. Basically foot creams  are essential because our feet are exposed a lot more in the Summer so it's nice to make sure they're looking and feeling their best.

I love the Soap&Glory "Heel Genius" foot cream as it is really moisturising and has little beads in it to soften your feet also.

Haircare.

1. Hair oils/mask treatments. Moroccan/Argon oils are essential as they keep my hair moisturised and healthy which is so important during the Summer as it will thank me in the Winter.

My favourite hair treatment is massaging coconut oil into my scalp but that leaves my hair greasy after washing it but works wonders. Won't explain much as it is a future blog post!

2.  Heat Protection Sprays for your hair. Like our skin, hair gets damaged and dry from the heat so it's so important to protect your hair from the sun.

Even if you're not using a hair styling tool, it's important to use a heat protection spray because the sun is just as damaging.

3.  My next essential is texturising Sea Salt Spray. I love sea salt spray because it adds a little bit of texture to my dead straight hair and makes it look a little "beachy".

It's better to use a sea salt spray than a heat tool so I really like it, plus it smells so good.  I use the Toni&Guy spray but I've used the L'oreal Studio Line also and that's super good too.

4.  So I have quite fine and straight hair so it tends to get flat easily. I have long hair so it does need a little volume and I find that dry shampoo is the best trick. I

t's an essential of mine anyway in case my hair gets greasy but it's so good for volume too. Batiste is the brand I use.

Other Essentials.

1.  Bright coloured nail polish. Summer is the time you can splash out with the crazy bright nail colours. I am looking forward to doing this, this Summer as I have been growing my nails. I have the terrible habit of biting my nails.
2.  If you're someone like me and can suffer with oily skin sometimes than face powder is an essential for you also. i don't like to wear makeup too much during the Summer but when I do I have to have this with me.

3.  Lip balm is another essential for all times of the year but for the Summer you need a lip balm that has an spf. The heat is very drying on your lips and can burn them which isn't fun.

4.  As I mentioned before I don't like to wear too much makeup on an everyday basis so I like to make sure my brows are "on fleek" haha. Eyebrows are the focus point on anyone's face so I put time into making them look nice.

I am fortunate to have quite dark and thick brows so I don't have to do much work but I like to fill them in lightly with an Essence brow pencil to fill in the patches, nothing special but it does the job.

*****

That's all the beauty essentials I can think of but let me know if I've forgotten any. I am planning on doing a "Summer Fashion Essentials" soon too so follow me to be updated.  Have a great week!

Fashion From The Met Gala 2015.

Hey Guys. I decided to put together all my favourites and my least favourite looks from the Met Gala. Remember that I'm not hating on the celebrities, I'm just giving my personal opinion on what they wore.  Hope you enjoy!

Favourites.
Zendaya.

I know that this look has a lot of mixed reviews but I actually really like it. I think this is very youthful and fun. It was a bit of risk but it paid off, it's super cool.

Zendaya's makeup was stunning also. Quite subtle and pretty which is a nice contrast to the not so subtle outfit. She looked amazing.

Kendall Jenner.

Does Kendall ever not look gorgeous, like seriously? This dress was absolutely beautiful on her. She looked so classy but then the side of the dress made it look sexy too.

Her hair was straight and sleek as usual. She kept her makeup very natural but flawless. LOVE!

Jourdan Dunn.

My next favourite was Jourdan Dunn's outfit. I've only just been noticing her style and loving it. I liked the way this dress looked sexy without having to show off too much skin.

This dress has a lot going on with the cut-outs, the slit at the leg and the sheer material however, it still looks neat and sophisticated. Jourdan's makeup was quite natural just with a dramatic winged liner. Her hair was in dread locks which added a bit of edge to the look which I liked.

Gigi Hadid.

The models were killing it on the Met Gala red carpet. Another model Gigi Hadid was very simple but gorgeous. I love this colour on her with her blonde hair. This look was quite sexy but classy with the deep "v" neckline and the high leg slit. She just looked effortlessly stunning.

Joan Smalls.

My last favourite was Joan Smalls, another model. I really liked this edgy outfit she wore. This purple colour was very pretty with her skin-tone. The black band around her neck and the pink smokey eye added an edgy feel to the look which I liked.

Least Favourite.

Sarah Jessica Parker.

I personally don't think the dress is the worst of the night but it's the head piece/crown thing that ruins the look. It's like she's meant to be in a pantomime as the wicked witch or something, haha. I just didn't really get where she was trying to go with this outfit, I don't think it worked.

Rihanna.

Rihanna is the only person who would try to pull this look off as she's such a fashionista which is great. However, this dress/cape was a big FAIL.

It's such a shame that the outfit was terrible because from her neck up was stunning! Her makeup was absolutely beautiful and I actually liked the head piece but the rest was a no-no.

This picture did make me laugh though.

Jennifer Lopez.

Jennifer Lopez usually nails it on the red carpet but not this time. I thought this dress wasn't flattering on her at all. It looked a bit tacky and unfinished. This was a no from me.

Solange Knowles.

I don't have much to say about this one to be honest. This dress couldn't have been comfortable to wear. How is she supposed to sit down without not being able to see? Just a thought.

Miley Cyrus.

I personally didn't like this dress at all. I think the beads on the dress makes it look a little tacky and I dislike where the cut-outs are positioned as they aren't flattering Miley's great body like they should be. Miley's quite edgy which I like but this dress, I wasn't a fan of.

Beyoncé.

I don't think this outfit is flawless like Beyoncé usually is. I get that she likes to show off her body as it is incredible but this was a bit too much.

I don't know how everything wasn't on show from certain angles. The dress would be very pretty if it wasn't so revealing because I really like the holographic diamontes.

I really disliked her high pony tail but her makeup was stunning. I love how confident Beyoncé always is though.

Let me know what your favourites were and don't forget to follow me for more blog posts.
