Shorts and Top Combos. Holiday Look-Book.

Hey Readers :)
I wore a lot of shorts with tops on holidays just because they're easy to mix and match with which is perfect for travelling because I tend to always over-pack. I'm sharing a few of my favourite outfits I wore in Puerto Rico. Enjoy!

P.S As you know I'm a huge fan of New Look and Penneys so sorry if practically everything I wear is from either one of those shops. I'm just constantly shopping in them, haha. I hope this at least gives you some inspiration if you really like to wear shorts and tops like I do.

Oh and try not to laugh at the fact that I literally never tan. It's so annoying.

Holiday Of Relaxation - Puerto Rico.

Hey Guys! I'm back :)
I was on holidays last week so I decided not to post but I'm back and ready to blog. My family and I have a little obsession with Puerto Rico (in the Canary Islands) as we have been going there for the last five years. However this year it was only my Mum, Jen (my older sister) and I going. We had the best time!

I went a little crazy this year with taking photos. I love photography but there's just something about this place that is so beautiful that no matter how many times I've been it gets prettier each time..

The apartments we nearly always stay in whenever we go to Puerto Rico is the Marina Suites. The rooms are so clean and modern. It's just a walking distance from the beach, shops and town centre so it's perfect if you don't want to have to get taxis all the time. The staff are so friendly there too.

The pool is amazing and at night there are different activities happening down by the pool such as mini discos, magic shows and comedians which gives a great atmosphere to the place.

We spent most our days by the beach because I just love the sea breeze. It's so calming and there is much more of a holiday atmosphere there.

I actually prefer to go swimming in the pool because what's in the sea kind of creeps me out. I used to swim in the pools in the evenings but relax by the beach during the day.

One day we went on a boat ride to a market in Arguineguin. It was very hot that day but really fun.

The man below used chalks to draw pictures onto slates. They looked so pretty.and made such great gifts to bring home.

I can't give enough praise to the restaurants in Puerto Rico. The food over there is just incredible. Such big portions for so cheap and amazing quality.

It was definitely one of my favourite holidays so far. I loved every minute of being there! It's the perfect place to relax.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Just something different to fashion and beauty for a change. I will be posting again this week with a fashion post so make sure to follow to be updated.

How I Clean My Make-Up Brushes.

Hey Guys, it's me again! I used to find cleaning my make-up brushes a chore but since I have this easy and quick method, it's definitely less of a pain to do.

Mine weren't too dirty to begin with but they still needed a clean, my eye-shadow brushes especially!

It's very simple because all you need is dish-washing liquid and olive oil which you probably already have in the house.

Step By Step:

1. Start with pouring a little bit of dish-washing liquid on one side of a plate and a little bit of the olive oil on the other side.

2. Swirl your make-up brush in between the two liquids until the brush has a reasonable amount on it.

3.  Next rub the brush against your hand to lather the liquid up.

4. Run it under warm water until the water runs clear. This means the brush is clean.

 5. Dry the brush with a tissue.

6. Then leave the brush to dry with the bristles facing down. This prevents any bristles from falling out.

If you don't have any means of hanging the brushes upside down then I'm sure lying them flat will do fine.

And then you're left with squeaky clean brushes :)

Thanks for reading. I hope this was helpful to you!

Matching Two Piece Outfits ~ Taylor Swift Inspired.

I'm loving the "matching 2 piece outfit" trend people have been wearing. When I think of this trend I immediately think of Taylor Swift as she is constantly seen rocking this trend.

I really like 2 piece outfits but I especially love the ones that have matching patterns, colours or fabrics. I know some people aren't fans of this trend as it does make a statement but I think it looks really pretty and fashion forward.

Taylor makes this trend very classy and feminine. I actually really like her personal "style". (No pun intended, haha.) She knows how to dress to flatter her body and always looks amazing on stage and off the stage.

I found a few matching 2 pieces on Missguided if you were looking for some. I need to get myself a few because I love them and have none. :(

Hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading.

Coconut Oil Hair Treatment.

Over the last 4-5 months I've been using virgin coconut oil as a treatment for my hair. I have noticed a difference in the way my hair looks and feels. It has definitely been growing more since using this too.

My hair feels softer, and looks more silky. It appears healthier and stronger also. My scalp felt very dry which is why I decided to try this and my scalp is thanking me for it. It really hydrates the scalp which helps your hair to grow faster.

As they say "Happy scalp means a happy head of hair." or something like that anyway, haha.

How I use it:
1. I grab a small clump of it in my hand.and rub it in between my fingers to create an oil.
2. I massage the oil into my scalp until it is all covered. I also rub it into the ends of my hair also.
3.. I plait my hair in a french and go to sleep.
4.. The following day I wash it all out with a non-oil based shampoo. (Make sure to really wash it out well, even if it takes 2 washes. Conditioner is optional.)

If you tilt your head upside down and massage the oil in for a few minutes, it helps your hair to grow more. It stimulates blood flow towards your head giving it the energy to grow faster.

It is up to you whether you want to apply this to wet or dry hair. I prefer dry because I don't like sleeping with wet hair too much.

Depending on how many times and how well you washed it out, it will be a bit greasy. It's still OK to go out in public though, it's not too greasy. Plus dry shampoo was invented for a reason :)

I try to do this at least once a week but if I can do it more times, I do. If your scalp is very dry then  try this or just give it a go if you want to give your hair some TLC.

You can also use olive oil if you wanted but it doesn't smell too nice.

June Monthly Favourites.

I haven't done a "Monthly Faves" in ages so since I've been trying out and loving a good few products I thought I'd share them with you.

Beauty favourites.

Recently I've been loving doing my eye makeup. Therefore, most of my makeup favourites are "eye related."

Firstly, I've been really enjoying using this W7 "In The Buff." eyeshadow palette. The shades are very neutral and wearable. They actually have great pigmentation for being so cheap too. This is definitely a dupe for the Naked 2 palette.

My amazing sister Jen spoilt me by buying me the Zoeva rose gold set of eye makeup brushes. I've been loving the "Luxe crease Brush." It helps so much with defining and blending my crease.  I would highly recommend these brushes.

I really like this Catrice Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Pencil (040 White). I use this on my waterline to make my eyes appear bigger. It's very creamy so it draws on easily.

My favourite mascara these last 2 months has to be the Benefit "Big Gal Lash." i only have a tester but I will buy the big bottle eventually.

I know the hype is the Benefit Roller Lash at the moment but I've yet to try it. This mascara really seperates and lengthens my lashes. I really like how it makes them look.

I've been filling in my eyebrows with the Essence Eyebrow Designer (05 soft brown). It's so cheap but really good. It's the perfect shade for my colour brows.

Next is a non-makeup favourite. This Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo makes my hair very soft and healthy looking. it's definitely helping my hair to grow too as coconut is great for hair growth.

As it's Summer, I wanted to add a little glow and bronze to my quite pale skin. This "Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion" is perfect as it moisturises and gradually tans my skin. It's been working really well.

Fashion Favourites.

I just have one fashion favourite this month and it's my Denim Jacket from Stradivarius. It's the easiest thi9ng to just chuck on but makes an outfit look much dressier. I LOVE IT!

Other Favourites.

Watermelon has been my favourite fruit to eat recently. It's so refreshing and is really good when frozen too.

As you will know if you read my last post, I went to see Kodaline in concert. I've been listening to their older album "In A Perfect World"non-stop. Their music is so good and really good to listen to.

That's all my favourites from last month. Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of these products. Thanks for reading! I post at least twice a week so follow if you want to be updated.
