FOTD ~ Golden Eye With A Browny-Nude Lip.

Hey Guys. It's finally Summer! That means no more tests, no more school but a lot more free time. I've been looking forward to getting back into blogging as I just love it. This week's post is a FOTD (face of the day) post. I actually really enjoyed this so I will definitely do these more often.

I personally love to wear a golden eye. I think it brings out the green in my eyes. I've also got really into using lip liners at the moment.

My favourite ones to use are the Penneys/Primark "PS Love" ones. They're super creamy and really cheap. Give them a look if you're on the lookout for a new lip liner.

Skin.
For foundation I used the L'oreal True Match.

To contour I used 2 products. Firstly I used the Nyx Wonder Stick

On top of that to add more definition and a more natural and even look, I used my Sleek Face Form.  I love this compact so much!

I didn't use much blush but I just dusted the blush shade from the Sleek Face Form also over my cheeks. I used the highlighter shade on my cheekbones too. I'm on the hunt for a new really good highlighter so let me know if you have any ideas for me.

Eyes.
Next were the eyes, which were the main focus for this look. Through the crease I used a contour shade from the Maybeline Master Sculpt compact.

I also blended a light orange shade eye-shadow through the crease. It didn't show up too much on camera but it was really pretty in person. I used the orange shade "Toast" from the Sleek Au Natural Palette.

On my lid I put Catrice eyeshadow "950 Gold Out" which is a shimmery gold shade.
To brighten up the inner corner and to brighten and add more sparkle to the lid I used the sparkly gold in the Nyx "Love In Paris" Palette.

To do my winged liner, I used my favourite L'oreal Super Liner.  The mascara I used was the Revlon Volume + Length Mascara.

Brows.
For some reason. on camera my brows always look really big and fluffy but I promise you they don't look like that in person. So strange!

I usually use a grey shade to fill them in and a brown shade to outline them, I use "Nubuck" and "Regal" from the Sleek Au Natural Palette.

To keep the hairs in place I used the Maybeline Brow Drama.

Lips
I just applied a lipliner for my entire lips. It gave a matte defined look which I actually love. To do this I used Ps Love lip liner pencil. I couldn't find a name for this one but it's basically a browny nude colour.

As you can see by the picture, it needs to be sharpened as I've been non-stop wearing this recently. Love it!

I tried so hard to not write too much for this post but I just can't help myself, once I start I just keep going, haha. I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading.

Met Gala 2016 ~ Outfit Opinions.

Hey guys! It's finally time to do a post on the Met Gala.
I just love looking up all the outfits the day after because it's always the most interesting red carpet of the year. I looked at all the outfits and chose my favourites and some of my least favourites.

I was shocked by a few of the celebrities whose outfits usually shine on the red carpet that I didn't like too much this time. These are just my personal opinions and I'm only commenting on the outfits, not the celebrities themselves.

Enough babbling, let's get straight into it.

My Favourites.

Jourdan Dunn's dress was my favourite of the night. She looked so stunning!

Kylie and Kim were definitely trying to "twin it" last night.

Not entirely sure how I feel about the latex on Beyonce's dress but she looked fabulous nonetheless.

Kate Hudson still amazes me after all these years, she always looks gorgeous.

Least Favourites.

I think the stars made Dakota's dress look a little childish and cheap. Mia Goth's dress reminded me of seaweed (I hate seaweed so much) so I think that's why I didn't like it.

I love Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez so much but these outfits were blah in my opinion. Taylor is trying this more rocker style at the moment and I don't know how I feel about it. I think I prefer the more sophisticated and girly T-Swizzle. Lady Gaga is "gaga" but not wearing pants on a red carpet is a whole other level

I think Sarah-Jessica Parker looked a little casual for the Met Gala and Rose Byrne's dress was a bit baggy for her. I just never seem to like Madonna's style, I personally think she tries too hard to be "out there"

I saved the most colourful until last. I must admit that Solange's dress is actually really cool because I haven't a clue how it was made but it just looks a little impractical.

******
And that's a wrap...There were so many dresses to look at so I restrained myself from writing too much. Let me know which outfits were your favourite and don't forget to follow me on Instagram.

Thanks for reading!

Monthly Favourites ~ March 2016.

Hey guys. Hope you had a great Easter.
I haven't done a "monthly favourites" post since December so I thought it was time to share a few of my favourite with you today. My favourites change constantly but these are a few things I've been reaching for or enjoying during the month of March. Enjoy.

How cute are the little doughnut faces that are in the background of my photos? I love them so much!

Beauty.

Maybeline Dream Velvet Matte Foundation.

I like a matte skin base because I have oily skin but I can rarely find a matte foundation that feels light on my skin also. I don't love the feeling of foundation on my skin so I usually gravitate towards BB creams.

I like to mix this foundation with a BB cream which gives me the equivalent to a matte BB cream/foundation. I have definitely noticed my skin staying "shine free" for longer.

Revlon Volume & Length Mascara.

As I'm sure I've mentioned before, I love trying out new mascaras all the time. I really like using this mascara, it's quite a thick brush but helps with a very evenly separated application. It creates long, full and fluttery lashes which I love the most. I HATE clumpy lashes. (cue the dramatic "ew" face)

Rimmel Nail Varnish.

Although this deep plum colour (193 Black Cherry)  is quite dark for Spring time usually, I've been loving wearing it on my nails. I must say that the Rimmel nail varnishes are my favourite to use.The applicator is really easy to work with especially if you have very shaky hands, like myself.

I have the terrible habit of picking at my nail varnish so I'm not the best person to tell you how long lasting it is to be perfectly honest but I read reviews and a lot of people say they don't chip too easily.

Clean&Clear Cream Wash.

The month of March wasn't a great month for my skin. I started using this cream wash once or twice a week which I really like using. This wash made my skin feel so refreshed and soothed, I love it. I don't love the smell of this but I like what it does to the feeling of my skin. It's softer and feels deeply cleansed.

This is to be applied on a damp face and then washed off with warm water.

Lee Stafford Argon Oil Shine Spray.

Lee Stafford Haircare is a new brand for me. I only recently started using their products. This is a more expensive brand in the drugstore, This spray actually works. It's most effective on straightened hair to add a silky, shiny appearance. The smell is so nice too. I think this brand is worth the little extra money.

I've recently started using the conditioner from this range too so I'll keep you posted on how I feel about it. So far so good anyway.

Beyonce "Heat" Perfume.

I was on the look out for a stronger scented perfume, one with a little bit more musk to it. "Heat" has the perfect amount of musk and sweetness to it. I'm not going to say it's my favourite perfume of all time but it's super nice, Although it doesn't give me the swag or body of Beyonce, at least I can smell like her right?

Fashion

Black Bomber Jacket.

I have only one fashion favourite  and it has to be my black bomber style jacket, however this has been a wardrobe staple for me since just before Christmas. Bomber Jackets are everywhere this year but I got my one in Forever 21.

This has the normal bomber jacket material except the sleeves are different which I love. It makes it unique to the other bomber jackets you see all around. I have been wearing this jacket with literally everything for the last few months. I love it so much!

Other Favourites.

Cadbury Mini Eggs.

As it was Easter 2 days ago, I've been tucking into packets of mini eggs. I think these are around all year but for some reason I only seem to eat them at Easter time. I need to go get myself some to eat now after writing this, haha.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant.

I went to see "Allegiant" in the cinema the other day and I actually really enjoyed it. I know the movie is getting mixed reviews but I would definitely go see it again. And it's not just because I have the biggest crush on Theo James ever, I mean who doesn't?

"Allegiant" is very different to the other two movies because it's more computerised but it was still so interesting. I can't wait to see Part 2. I've never read the books but I love the movies.  Fun Fact - Divergent is actually one of my favourite movies ever.

Hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading. Let me know if you have any monthly favourites, I'd love to hear about them.

My Favourite Red Carpet Looks ~ Oscars 2016.

The third awards night post in a row but this is the one everyone has been waiting for. Everyone loves the Oscar's red carpet, it's just so fancy. Here are a few of my favourite outfits of the night. Enjoy!

Saoirse Ronan.
Starting first with Saoirse Ronan. She represented Ireland well, looking stunning on the red carpet. I really like this dress, super classy and flattering. Little sparkle for the Oscars never hurt no one. Her hair was really pretty too.

Alicia Vikander.
I was obsessed with Alicia's Golden Globe outfit but I'm equally obsessed with this. This outfit is so fresh and beautiful. The light yellow dress really compliments her skin-tone and hair colour. I like her natural looking makeup, very "Spring" appropriate.  The entire look was a winner for me!

Jennifer Laurence.
I think Jennifer Laurence looked gorgeous at the Oscars this year. The dress isn't my absolute favourite of the night but I think the outfit, with the makeup, hair and accessories worked really well together. Her makeup and hair was flawless.

Olivia Munn.
This dress could be seen as a little boring to a lot of people. I think the simplicity of this dress is what makes it appealing though. The bright orange colour isn't done too often but it actually looks really nice. This dress fits her so well, it's so pretty and elegant.

Priyanka Chropro.
To be honest, I hadn't heard of Priyanka Chropro before but I love her dress. This outfit screams glamour which I think is perfect for a fancy event like the Oscars. The detailing is so beautiful. This would actually make such a nice wedding dress.

Rachel McAdams.
(Shout-out to my sister, Jen who has been raving about this dress all day, haha.)

A lot of the celebrities seemed to keep their makeup fairly natural this year, including Rachel McAdams. It's nice to see fresh natural looking makeup for a change.

This dress made a statement without being too dramatic. It's quite a simple dress but has a sophisticated feel to it. It is very trendy too - this style neckline has been everywhere for the past few months. Rachel looked so classy and confident in this outfit.

Olivia Wilde.
Last but not least, is Olivia Wilde's outift. This was another winner for me. This dress is incredible. It's very flattering and stylish. I'm a sucker for a pleated style dress, I think it adds such a feminine touch.

She kept her makeup fairly natural too with her hair swept back to allow the dress be the main attention. Got to give that fab choker a mention too. This look was stunning!

And that's it for "Awards Night" posts, for a while anyway. Let me know which outfits were your favourite.

Grammys 2016 Red Carpet Fashion ~ Hits and Misses.

Hey Everyone.
It's time for another "Red Carpet Fashion" discussion, this time it's all about the Grammys 2016. I just love doing these posts! Remember that I'm only commenting on the outfits, not the celebrities. These are my own personal opinions, you don't have to agree. Let me know which outfits were your favourite and least favourite. Let's get into it!

Hits Of The Night.
Kaley Cuoco

I love this flowy playsuit. The sequent design is so pretty and adds a bit of sparkle and glam. I like the backless part and the triangle cut-out in the front, it adds a bit of drama. This was really flattering on Kaley Cuoco.

Taylor Swift.

I'm a little biased because I'm such a fan of Taylor but I actually really do like this two piece.  I
especially love the 2 vibrant colours together and the shiny fabric. I don't like the shoes though.

The skirt is a similar effect to the dress she wore at last year's Grammys but it works for her, showing off her long legs. I'm not going to lie, I'm not a huge fan of the hair, I think it makes her look a lot older, and less edgy.

Nicole Trunfio.

Nicole Trunfio's outfit was actually my favourite of the night. I think this jumpsuit is so cool and striking. The cape effect sleeves is very fashion forward. The dark grey sparkle material adds a dramatic and different feel. It's very sexy without having to show too much skin. Perfect for the Grammys.

Kacey Musgraves.

This dress is so pretty and very unique. I'm not sure what this dress is made of but it looks almost fluffy. The colours blend well together. It's really pretty and makes a subtle statement.

Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood looked the queen of class on the red carpet. Black is a safe option but nearly always works. The "Angelina Jolie" style leg slit adds a sexy, confident appearance. Carrie looks classy and gorgeous in this dress.

Diana Gloster,

This next dress is going to be a "marmite" outfit. Some will love it, some will hate it. I personally think it's clever and individual.

It could look a bit boring from far away but when you notice the music notes on the bottom half, you'll appreciate it more. I thinks it's a smart and witty creation and it makes sense for the event, I guess.

Selena Gomez.

Selena was sparkling at this year's Grammys. She showed off a lot of skin but without looking too sexy, she kept it sophisticated and overall stunning. Obsessed with this colour too!

Ellie Goulding,

Lastly, for the hits of the Grammys, is Ellie Goulding. I think she looks so feminine and angelic in this dress, The pale pink is really pretty on her. This is different to Ellie's more rocker style.

Misses Of The Night.
Andra Day.

This outfit reminds me of a modern day Cruella Deville. Maybe I'd like it more if she had all the cute dalmatian puppies. The best thing about this outfit is her big smile. She looks so happy which is nice to see instead of the usual red carpet "pout face."

Zendaya.

It pains me to say this because I usually love Zendaya's red carpet fashion but this was not one of those times. I like the idea of the suit and all but this does not work for me. It looks way too big for her and a little masculine. This just wasn't good.

Florence Welch.

Like her music, hate this dress. It looks like a nightdress. The stars look a bit childish too. I just don't understand this look.

Dencia.

All I can say is...WHAT?

That's all for the Grammys 2016 red carpet fashion. Let me know which outfit was your favourite.

Golden Globes 2016 ~ My Favourite Outfits.

It's award season again and I'm so excited to see all the outfits! There weren't a lot of outfits that stood out this year at the Golden Globes, to say the truth. But I still managed to see a few that I really like. Let me know which ones were your favourite.

Alicia Vikander.
To be honest I had never heard of Alicia before until seeing her dress on the red carpet. There's something about this dress that I just find so eye catching. It's so graceful and pretty. I just immediately fell in love with the pleated shiny material. The shape it gives is gorgeous and really flattering on her petite figure, I really like this outfit.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
Ever since the "Step Up" days, I've been a fan of Jenna. This dress was definitely one of my favourites. I love the colour, along with the sparkle detailing. It's really appropriate for the Golden Globes, being very elegant but also keeping the sexy feel with the deep 'v' front. She looked so glamorous.

Zendaya.
Can this girl ever go wrong on the red carpet? Like seriously. I really liked this style dress. It's like a layered cake or something. She looked fashionable and classy. This deep red shade really suits Zendaya's tanned skin-tone too. This is a really pretty look.

Gina Rodriguez.
This is the outfit that has got everyone talking, saying it;s the best of the night. It;s not my favourite but it's definitely a stunning look. This dress is like it was taken straight out of a Disney movie. I really like the royal blue colour. This dress screams sophistication and glamour. Gina looks like she's loving every minute of wearing it too.

Kylie Jenner.
Although Kylie was only going to the Golden Globe after parties, I thought I'd include her look anyway because I loved this outfit! She looks like a golden goddess. This dress is so flattering on her and looked so delicate and detailed. It's really pretty. Kylie looked gorgeous.
