Thinking Positive.

Today I've decided to do a different kind of blog post. I want to talk to you about keeping positive in order to be a happy and better person. I would say that I'm a generally happy person but I do tend to think of the negatives before the positives. I'm learning to try and just go with the flow in a whatever happens, happens attitude. 

I feel like if you think positive and not let small bad things get in your way that you'll become a happier person and life will be easier.. Life's too short to worry about the negativities in your life. I know sometimes this is very hard to do regarding the circumstances but if there are small things bothering you like a test or something, try learn to relax a little. I personally am an over-thinker so I think of the worst case scenario before the positive one which is naughty. (smack on the hand) However, I'm definitely improving and learning to think positively and I can safely say it's making me feel great!  

My favourite quote is "Everything Happens For a Reason" so I think it's time I start living by it. If you're someone like me who over thinks then I hope this post helped you in some way. Sorry this post was so deep, coming from a 15 year old (haha) but I really thought this would be a helpful post. I'll be back to my normal, non-deep usual self Friday :)

New Purchase! Zoeva Nude Palette.

Hey Guys :)

So I ordered this Zoeva palette off Ebay a few weeks ago and it finally arrived the other day so I was so excited to let you all know about it.  I really like this palette and I was pretty impressed with the shades. Buying makeup on-line can sometimes be a bit of a risk because you have to judge it by a picture. 

There are 28 eye shadows in this palette. All the shades are very natural, everyday colours. There are 14 shimmery shades and 14 matte shades. The pigmentation definitely isn't the best which is a bit of a let down. The colour pay-off isn't as good as an Urban Decay or Sleek palette but they are still easy to blend and have a nice texture. 

This palette is perfect for beginners in makeup or people starting to build up their makeup collection. It has a wide variety of shades and is perfect for any kind of look. I'm never very adventurous with my eye makeup so this nude palette is perfect for me. However I'm not loving the packaging as it could definitely be a bit more stylish or maybe have a mirror but overall it's a really nice eye shadow palette.

 I actually couldn't find it on the Zoeva shop so that's why I decided to go on Ebay where there were many results for it. I bought it for €14.95 (including shipping) so it was a complete beauty steal.

Autumn/Fall Fashion.

I personally love Autumn fashion. It's all about layering and keeping warm which is a huge plus if you're a cold person like myself. I feel like people can really experiment with their clothing during the Autumn and Winter months. I love the different trends and colours being brought together. 

Big slouchy jumpers over a pair of jeans is the perfect outfit for Autumn because it's comfortable and cute. It's easy to dress up that kind of outfit with either a statement necklace or a pretty scarf.  Wearing an oversized jumper makes layering really simple. Just wear a few t-shirts under and then you're nice and warm without having to wear a big jacket. Simple.

I think boots are essential for Autumn time because they dress up an entire outfit while making sure that you're warm and comfy. I don't know about you guys but it completely ruins my day if a pair of shoes make my feet feel sore but boots never do this to me. I think boots go perfectly with skirts, shorts dresses, leggings and jeans. They go with pretty much every outfit. 

Plaid Shirts have been a favourite of mine recently. I think they're great for again, layering. You can wear them buttoned up or opened with a t-shirt inside. I'm just really liking this trend for Autumn.

Another favourite of mine is jumpers tucked into skirts with tights. I just love how it looks. I think it looks very classy but cute. 

I'm obsessed with collars all year round so I think any excuse to wear a collar in Autumn is right up my street. I think the "collar poking out of a jumper" trend, that was very popular last year is around again this year. It looks very sophisticated without needing to put much effort in at all. I love this trend a lot!

Last but not least, is a beanie. I don't think anything screams Autumn and Winter more than a beanie or woollen hat. It's a great help when it's windy because it' keeps your hair in place but it can also be bad because it can blow off (learnt from experience). I think beanies are super cute and kind of help to complete an outfit. They're also a great way to cover up a bad hair day, haha.

Holidays To Puerto Rico.

Hey everyone,

During Summer I went to Puerto Rico in the Canary Islands with my family. We've went there for four times. We just can't get enough of the place. It's so beautiful/ It's so peaceful and everyone is so friendly there.

The night-life is great. It's definitely a bit more of a family orientated place but there is still a lively spirit. Everyone seems to be happy and outgoing there. I'm a bit too young to be heading out to drink but there are so many pubs to choose from if you did want a drink. 

The food is probably one of the main reasons why I love the place so much. It's super inexpensive and the dishes are always a big size. I'm not a massive fan of salad but over there I ate the salad every night, it's so good and fresh. Everything is just cooked to perfection. We ate out every night because there is literally no point cooking when the food is that cheap and good. There are SO many restaurants to choose from with a huge variety of dishes. This picture just makes me miss the food even more, haha.

When we stay in Puerto Rico we stay in the apartments called the Marina Suites. Those apartments are beautiful and top class. This year however, we couldn't get the Marina Suites so we decided to stay in the Marasol apartments, right next door. They were very nice too but not as good as the Marina Suites. The views that we had looking out over the boats was just stunning.

 We went to the beach more than the pool but the pool is spectacular in the Marina Suites because it's looking out over the sea which gives the effect that the pool and the sea are joined.

The apartments there are literally built up against mountains and some are even built on the top of mountains. It's insane

              

I would highly highly recommend Puerto Rico if you wanted a relaxing and hassle free holiday. I feel so safe and calm there. It is one of the most prettiest places I've ever seen. The temperatures are only 30-35 degrees Celsius which is very comfortable conditions. Puerto Rico is just amazing, I think going there 4 times  really says a lot about the place. It really is a gorgeous place and makes for a great holiday.

Favourite YouTube Beauty Channels.

Hey Guys :)

I watch a lot of YouTube videos but when it comes to beauty, fashion and lifestyle videos, I do have my favourite channels to watch. I thought I'd share with you which ones are my favourite.

The first channel I'll mention is Tanya Burr. She's a well-known beauty blogger and YouTuber. I learn many great tips from her when it comes to makeup because she is a professional makeup artist. The next beauty guru I'm going to talk about is Zoella. Now I'm sure most of you already watch her videos or have at least heard of her but I couldn't do this blogpost without mentioning her because she  is one of my favourites and has been for about 2 years now. 

Zoe's videos are great quality and always enjoyable. She's so easy to relate to and is very down to earth. I trust her opinions of the products she talks about and her style is so similar to mine. I'm so jealous of her hair though, it's amazing! If https://www.youtube.com/user/zoella280390

Tess Christine is a beauty guru I came across a few months ago and immediately subscribed. She does all types of videos, from health videos to get the looks. I can tell she gives her honest opinion and I look forward to her video every week

. Her videos are great quality and you can tell that she loves making them because she puts so much effort into them. I'm so happy that I found her channel. Tess seems like such a nice and sweet person. She considers everyone, for example she talks about products from high and low price range. Last but not least, is LoveLaughAndMakeup. This channel is another channel that I recently came across. Sabrina is another beauty guru who is really good at what she does. She does mainly makup tutorials and hauls. Her videos are never very long but they are really informative.

 She's super cool and down to earth in her videos. Her opinions seem very honest. Her channel isn't very well-known but it is definitely getting more popular. I enjoy her videos because her makeup tips are great and her tutorials are really good quality. OOTD-Shopping Spree.

Hey everyone,

The other day I went shopping with my Mum and my sister and this is the outfit I chose to wear that day. Fortunately the weather has been good recently so I didn't have to wear too many layers. Whenever I'm going shopping, I have to be comfortable in what I wear. Shopping can be quite tiring and you do have to walk a lot of so I like to feel really comfy. This time I decided to wear black leggings, a striped top and a denim jacket. I have been wearing this denim jacket non-stop. It makes every outfit look finished and respectable whilst still giving you a little warmth. You can't see clearly in the picture but my top was just plain white with pink stripes. I chose to wear leggings because I personally think they are way comfier than jeans. I just wore suede boots with frilly socks which added an autumnal feel. This is a really casual look but I think it's perfect for an everyday outfit. I love this outfit because I think it's really simple while being comfortable and cute.

Review Toni&Guy Reconstruction Hair Mask.

Hey guys,

I want to review the Reconstruction Hair Mask by Toni&Guy for you today. I'm actually very interested in trying different products on my hair. I hadn't read or heard anything about this hair mask so I really just bought this on the spur of the moment.  To be honest, I don't regret buying it at all. I really enjoy the Toni&Guy range so that's why it caught my eye.

This hair mask made my hair feel very nourished and soft. It made my hair look healthy and shiny. I use it once a week as a little treat for my hair. It's only to be left in for 5-10 minutes which honestly is long enough. If you really wanted to treat your hair, you could leave it in for a half an hour every now and then. I apply it to the end of my hair where it is a bit damaged. Sometimes I do like to put it all over my hair. Although, when I put it all over my hair it makes it impossible to work with because it's too silky and soft. I guess that's a good thing too though. My sister, Jen and I have been using this for ages now and there's still loads left because a small bit goes a long way, trust me! This deep conditioner really makes my hair feel light, like I was just back from the hairdressers. It smells so good too. It sells in Boots at a price of €7.99 which is very affordable.

Although this hair mask is really good, it probably isn't the best out there for your hair. It doesn't have oils such as Moroccan or Argon oils to fix your damaged hair and it contains chemicals but it is a nice treat for your hair. I think this is a great product overall and I would definitely recommend it.

Style Crush~Emma Watson.

Hello Everyone..

 I've always been a fan of Emma Watson growing up because I loved the Harry Potter movies, I love Emma's style and makeup so I thought I'd share with you all why she is my style crush.

 What I love about Emma's clothes is that they are really simple and wearable. She always looks comfortable in what she wears which is completely up my street as I will always choose the comfier option first. On a normal everyday basis, she tends to be quite casual although she still always looks very well put together. She never looks untidy or unfinished, which I really admire.  She tends to keep quite covered up and not go too crazy when she's just out and about, doing her normal everyday things.

However, on the red carpet or at social events, Emma likes to take risks. I love her fun and colourful choices she wears showing off her fantastic figure.She experiments with different patterns sometimes which makes her stand out from the other celebrities and bring this young and adventurous vibe. She makes everything look so effortlessly stunning.

The thing that I love most about Emma is her makeup. I love the fact that she always stays very natural and fresh. It never looks like she's wearing much foundation but she does have nicely blushed cheeks and slightly contoured cheekbones. Her skin always looks flawless.. Her eyes and brows are mainly kept simple. She does like to experiment with her lip colours sometimes but everything else is usually pretty natural. I love makeup that looks so effortless and natural so I completely admire her makeup. Emma is just beautiful.

August Beauty Favourites

 My first 2 favourites are the Topshop cream blush in "Flush" and the Real Technique's stippling brush.  I've been applying this blush with the stippling brush because it is the perfect size for the apples of my cheeks and made my blush look natural, using circular motions.  This cream blush stays on my skin for a the majority of the day. I just love this blush because it gives me the most natural flush to my cheeks. It has a mirror so it's perfect for travelling. It's super pigmented so do build up the colour, gradually.

My skin has been very oily recently so powder has been a complete must this month. The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is my favourite one and has been ever since I started wearing make up. I love this powder because it keeps my skin matte all day and keeps my concealer in place. I know you've probably heard tonnes of people talk about this powder but it really is a great inexpensive product. 

The Collection Work the Colour eye shadow pencil has been a bug favourite of mine through the month of August. I have been using the shade "Vanilla Sky" which is a cream colour. I have been using this on my waterline to make my eyes appear wider and more awake. I've also been using this in my inner tear duct (corner of my eyes) to brighten them up a little. I love that it has a great staying power and really does help me seem more awake than I may actually be.

 My last favourite for the month of August is the lip gloss "chic" by Tanya Burr cosmetics. It's such a nice nude colour to wear for an everyday look. I wore this pretty much everyday during this month. It's the perfect nude colour if you wanted a subtle shade on your lips. I wore "chic" to add a nice gloss and shine to my lips but I also think you could apply it over a lipstick or lip crayon to add a bit more shine, if you wanted. These lip glosses have great pigmentation and aren't sticky at all so they stay on your lips for most of the day. It also helps that they taste and smell AMAZING too.
