Celebrating Christmas.

Hey Guys, hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I can't believe it's all over now. It's crazy how fast it comes around every year. Christmas, as I've said before is my favourite holiday. Mainly because everyone is so relaxed and it's so family orientated. It's just a really nice time of the year,

Our family celebrate Christmas the traditional way, with the annual Christmas turkey and visit friends and family. Also eat A LOT of chocolate whilst just lounging around.

For my hair and makeup I kept it quite simple doing my everyday makeup which I'm sure I'll do a blog post on in the new year. I just straightened my hair and that was it really. I know it an occasion but I didn't want to be too dolled up as I was spending the day with my family so I wanted to be comfortable.

For Christmas Dinner we had slices of turkey and ham. We also had mashed potatoes, carrots, corn and broccoli with some stuffing too. I wish it showed up on camera how nice it really is. Nothing beats Christmas dinner in my opinion.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'd like to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas Shimmery Eye Look.

Hey Guys, I have a purple shimmery eye look perfect for Christmas time. This eye-makeup look would be so nice with a bronzed makeup look and glossy nude lips.

I think it's a good alternative to the classic gold and brown smokey Christmas eye look  I think the touch of purple adds a pretty girly feel to it.

For my eyeshadow, I only used shades from my Sleek iDivine "Au Naturel" palette

So I began with putting with "taupe" which is a subtle shimmery shade all over my lid. Through the crease I blended the shadow "bark"to add a bit of depth to my lid as it is a matte brown shade.

Winging the matte purple shadaow "regal" out the edges and blending it through the crease on top of the "bark" shadow. Building it up gradually.

On top of that I then placed the very shimmery wine shade "conker"(with a hint of purple through) on top of the 2 shadows "bark" and "regal". Focusing on the outer edges of my eye only. Under my eye, I blended "bark" on the outer corner.

To brighten my eye up, I placed the matte white shade "nougat" in the inner corner.

Using my favourite liquid liner, the "Maybeline Master Precise Liner" I just created a thin line along my lash-line and winging it out slightly. This made my lashes appear thicker and fuller.
Lastly, to finish off the entire look I couldn't forget mascara. I used my "Rimmel Glameyes Day 2 Night" mascara. I used both the volume and length brush,

This mascara is really black and intense. It makes my lashes much longer and thicker looking. However I do think a few individual false lashes would be really pretty with this look.

Hope you enjoyed this post. I hope you all have a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

Decorating My Room For Christmas.

I decided to add some festive touches to my room. I have a small room so I don't get to do lots with it. I would definitely have a small tree in my room if I had the space. Thought I'd share with you what i did this year to add a Christmasy feeling to my bedroom. These small touches made such a difference to my room. Just making it cosier and festive.looking.

Last year I bought this red and white festive quilt in Penneys. It has snowflakes and hearts on which makes it Christmasy, I think. Since I bought it last year, I don't think this exact on is still in the store but there are many other types this year.

I added a red throw at the bottom of my bed  and put 2 red cushions on also to bring out the red more.
I love candles at the winter time. I think having candles lit around the room makes it cosier and relaxing. They smell really good too. They smell like Christmas so it's the best thing to make your room seem festive.
I wish the camera would show how pretty these fairy lights, I put up around my window. These make my room looks so cosy and warm. I love fairy lights because they are so festive.

I know this post was short but I hope it has given you some inspiration to decorate your room for Christmas. Thanks for reading.

Christmas Shopping. Feeling Festive!

The other day I went with my family to Dublin, shopping for Christmas as tradition. We first went to Dundrum Shopping Centre followed by Kildare Village Outlet Centre. It really got me in the festive spirit and cleared my purse which means it was a successful day/ I took a good few photos so I thought I'd share them with you, to maybe get you all in the Christmas mood.

I can't even describe how cold it was in Kildare Village. I was in serious need of a hot chocolate and a pair of gloves. I really don't like the cold.

Everything was so Christmasy in Dundrum Shopping Centre too. I mean, check out that amazing cake. I probably would have bought it only that it would've have been a bit of a pain to carry around. It looked amazing though. Feeling hungry yet? Haha.

November Favourites.

I can't believe I'm doing another "Monthly Favourites" post again. November went so fast but now it's officially Christmas time. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Starting with makeup. i have been loving this shimmery white eyeshadow from Catrice. It's the shade called "Look into my ice" from the liquid metal range.

I never really hear anything spectacular about catrice products but I'm absolutely in love with this eyeshadow. It's super pigmented and shimmery. I will definitely be checking out the other shades in this range.

I have returned to loving this Maybeline "Master Precise" liquid eye-liner. I have been applying this on top of the eyeshadow above and have been loving this look so much.

It's very black and really easy to use. It has a good staying power and makes winged liner easier to do which is a huge plus.

Currently I have a bad cold so my lips have been even drier than ever. I usually use the Maybeline baby lips but I just felt like they weren't moisturising enough so i tried the Carmex lip balm. Although I don't like the taste and smell of  Carmex, it has actually been helping my dry lips during these colder months.

This month I have been especially loving hair scrunchies for when my hair is tied up in a pony tail. I have loved matching the colours with my different outfits. I love the girly and colourful affect it gives to my pony tail. They're so cute and retro.

Next is my "foody favourite" of November and it would have to be the Harvest Morn Yogurt & Fruit Bars" I've been trying to eat these as an alternative to a chocolate bar so I can begin to get healthier. I get these in Aldi and I find them very filling and yummayyy.

One of my favourite songs of the month is Taylor Swift~Blank Space. It's so catchy.

My next favourite song is Fifth Harmony~Sledgehammer. I have been non-stop listening to it ever since it was released during November. I love the concept and lyrics of the song,

My last favourite is a programme called "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here." I have been waiting for this all year.

It's basically a show about celebrities who are paid to go camp in a jungle for 3 weeks. They have to do different trials and challenges involving animals and insects of the jungle, to win food for the rest of the camp.

It's so entertaining and funny especially because Ant and Dec host it. I think it only airs in Ireland and England but I'd say you could watch it on-line if you wanted. I love it!

Style Crush~Camila Cabello

Hey Guys :)
Time to share another one of my celebrity crushes. Next is the Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello. I am a huge fan of Fifth Harmony and really like their music but I always seem to love Camila's style. Everything I see her wear I love and would completely wear it myself. Our fashion sense would be quite similar.

She's a similar shape to me so I suppose that makes it easier to relate to her style. I love how quirky and fun she is with her fashion. Her clothes appear really comfy and are so cute.

Camila loves to wear cropped jumpers and tops with almost every outfit but she never has a huge amount of her stomach on show. I like this because really cropped tops can sometimes look a little tacky, I think.

As I've mentioned before, I love to wear anything with collar. Clearly Camila is the same as she wears lots of tops and dresses with collars on which is why I love Camila's style so much!

I just love Camila's cute and quirky fashion sense. She knows what suits her and sticks with it which I admire her for.

I also love how easy Camila's makeup is to create. her skin always looks flawless and  healthy. She wears a light pink blush on her cheeks which makes her appear healthy and awake.

She only wears a shimmery neutral shadow on her eyes but then has a strong winged liner. She then coats her eyelashes with some mascara and individual fake lashes on the outer edge of her eyelashes.

Camila's hair is something I would pay to have. She's blessed with long wavy voluminous hair. She nearly almost has it down and with loose waves. She sometimes straightens it but it always has volume.

She never really pins back her hair but she does sometimes add a hair accessory like a bow or a hat. Her hair is just amazing.

******

Basically I love everything about Camila Cabello which is why she is one of my style crushes. I hope you like these posts and thanks for reading. Let me know who your style crush is. I made an Instagram account for this blog "MissMichelleMarieBlog."Go follow me there too if you want.

Review: L'oreal Elvive Fibrology Shampoo and Conditioner.

I had struggled with my thin hair for so long and just had a constant battle with my hair. I couldn't tie it up in a big voluminous effortless topknot bun without it looking like a tiny bump on my head.

I used different shampoos that were for "fine hair" hoping that it would make my hair appear thicker but I wasn't impressed with any I used.

When I heard about the L'oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Range, I decided I'd give it a try. I used the shampoo and conditioner non-stop for a month and i started to notice a difference. My hair had more strength and volume.

My friends in school even started to notice that my hair looked thicker. I honestly believe this shampoo and conditioner has thickened my hair. The ends of my hair aren't as scraggy and thin as they used to be. I can tie my hair up in a bun without a problem and I'm just so happy with this range.

My hair just feels thicker and fuller than before and I can only really say it was this product that helped. It smells quite strong but not sweet which I actually like. My hair is still quite fine but it's definitely not as thin.

For such an affordable range it's worth a shot.

Let me know if you've used these products before and what you're thoughts on them were. I'd be really interested to know.

My Winter Fashion Essentials.

Hey Everyone, it's finally Winter. I love winter because it means it's getting closer to Christmas, Eeeeek! (excited dance)

The first one is obviously an essential for all of us at Winter time. It's a parka jacket or any cosy jacket of your choice. Loads of shops are now selling their version of these parka coats. There are a wide variety of colours from grey, cream, green, black, wine and brown. Some with furry hoods, some with none.

I have 2 myself and I love them SO much. I wear them everywhere during the winter and it keeps me so warm while still being stylish. They can be expensive but I've found my 2 for around the €40.00 mark so there are definitely some cheaper ones out there. they're just way too useful not to have.
I love to wear knit jumpers, turtle neck, cropped or long. They're look so nice and warm. They are a great alternative to wearing layers of tops and then having to chuck on a hoodie to keep warm.

Black jeans are such an essential all year around but especially in Winter. To be honest I like to wear my black disco pants or black leggings more than black jeans because I find them comfier but black jeans are definitely more wearable because they go with every kind of outfit. I currently don't have any in my wardrobe but I'm on the hunt for a pair. I'm just so fussy when it comes to jeans

I love the "tartan" look that was in last Winter and now again this year. I think it looks so festive. It's became such a big trend that I love. A scarf in general is essential for the colder months but I'm personally loving the tartan printed ones.

Fluffy socks are basically the only socks i wear in Winter, They are so warm and if you're someone like me who gets really cold hands and feet then you'll understand why I love them.

Boots are the last fashion essential for me.  As I said in my "Autumn Essentials" post, boots look amazing with outfits during Autumn and Winter. Boots are to be worn during these months so why not wear them?

Hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be back again Monday.

October Favourites

Hey everyone,
It's now November so I guess it's time for another "Monthly Favourites" Enjoy.

I have been using a lot of the makeup I have already in my makeup collection so I have only one makeup product that I loved throughout October. It's the Maybelline 24hr  Colour Tatoo in "On and On Bronze."

This basically is a cream eye-shadow base that adds a bit of a colour to your lids but also acts as a primer for your eye-shadow. It makes blending eye-shadows really easy and keeps them on your lids for longer.

It's the perfect lazy product because you can apply with your finger and then either leave it on it's own or apply eye-shadows on top. I did a look using this product in my last post.  I've loved it this month.

During October i have loved using an angled eye-shadow brush to apply a dark eye-shadow along my lash-line. I just take any dark brown or black matte eye-shadow I have and apply it with this brush along my lash-line instead of using eye-liner.

I find that this brush helps to make that line as thin and precise as I want to make my lashes appear thinker. It also means that if I mess up the line, I can just smudge it away unlike eye-liner where you have to try and wipe it away. This is just easier and helps me with the cat-eye flick.

My next 2 favourites are hair related. The first is the L'oreal Elnett Satin Heat Protecting Spray I've used these too spray a lot this month. I really like the heat protecting spray because it makes my hair shiny and keeps my hair straighter for longer while protecting my hair from heat.  It smells good too.

Next is the L'oreal Studio Line Volumizing, Supersizing Spray. I have quite fine hair so anything that gives my hair a bit of volume and depth, I'm all for. This month I straightened my hair a few times, which I rarely do so I needed a lot more volume at my roots as it tends to go flat when straightened. I just sprays this at my roots and it helps to add volume.

I don't just use this when my hair is straightened though, I use it whenever I feel like my hair is looking a bit limp. I like to spray it on my hair whenever I'm doing a high bun as it just adds a bit more volume and texture to my hair.  Love it.

Next is my fashion favourite of October and it's these Suede Black Boots from Penneys. These I wear a lot because they are really comfy and look super cute with my frilly socks inside. They were so cheap, €10 I think and just really nice boots for everyday wear.

Time for my favourite songs of the month. starting with Maroon 5 - Animals. I'm a huge fan of Maroon 5's music so I'm not surprised I liked this song. it's really good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BJ3ZXpserc

The next song is Against the Current - Another You(Another Way). I really like this song and didn't stop listening to it all month. They're a new up-and-coming band to watch. I like they're style of music and they're super talented.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ROxHLEvsT8

Lastly, I cant't forget to mention the X Factor UK. I've been watching the X Factor since I was young and I still love it as much as I did then. I look forward to it all week. It's a singing competition in the UK. However, I'm sure you've heard of it before. if you haven't then where have you been? I'm a little obsessed with it this year, not going to lie.

That;s all my October favourites. Hope you enjoyed this post. New post every Monday, Love you x
